Softelligence a publicat în Windows Store aplicația client din suita e-Business Suite Mobility. Ca majoritatea partenerilor care fac aplicații de business, au publicat în Store o versiune free, în care oricine poate vedea funcționalitățile de bază, iar dacă vor să achiziționeze, atunci vor trebui să ia legătura cu Softelligence. După cum vă imaginați, astfel de aplicații sunt mai greu de făcut în regim de autoservire, fiindcă e nevoie de integrarea backend-ului cu sistemele clientului.

Industria în care au lansat aplicația este cea a asigurărilor, însă se pot adapta și la altele.
Star Storage a publicat în Windows Store aplicația client pentru servicul StarCapture, dedicat vânzătorilor, agenților sau inspectorilor mobili. Aplicația se numește Mobile Customer Enrollment și acoperă cazurile obișnuite de culegere de date (inclusiv OCR), completare semi-automată de formulare, oferte, contracte etc și stocarea lor în Sharepoint în cloud-ul Office 365, în cloud-ul Star Storage sau pe server on-premises.

Fluxurile implementate în aplicația din Store sunt specifice băncilor, dar pot fi adaptate și pe alte industrii.
În cadrul Tech Fest din Iași (3-4 martie), Sibiu (6-7 martie), București (10-14 martie) și Timișoara (17-18 martie) avem și câte un training de o zi dedicat celor care vor să învețe cum se dezvoltă aplicații pentru Windows Phone și pentru Windows 8. Având în vedere că vânzările de Windows Phone merg foarte bine (conform IDC suntem peste vânzările de iPhone în 24 de țări), iar baza instalată de Windows 8 a depășit deja 200 milioane de unități, din ce în ce mai mulți dezvoltatori și firme de software consideră Windows ca o platformă viabilă pentru modelul ”application store” de dezvoltare/business. Vă recomand cu căldură trainingul hands-on din cele patru orașe (update: în Cluj nu avem training fiindcă ne suprapunem cu Innovation Days) livrat de prietenul nostru Petru Jucovschi. Petru începe lejer cu principiile de design și intră apoi puternic pe dezvoltarea practică a primei voastre aplicații pentru Windows Store și apoi pentru Windows Phone Store (da, deocamdată sunt separate). Cei care țineți pasul cu el puteți chiar să vă publicați aplicația, pentru a vedea întreaga experiență, până la capăt. Veniți cu laptopul vostru cu Windows 8.1 și Visual Studio 2013 instalate.

Dezvoltarea de aplicații de business pe Windows a fost una din punctele noastre tari în această industrie, dar de când a apărut noul model de aplicații de Windows Store (odată cu Windows 8) a fost un pic neclar cum vom/veți mărita cele două concepte.
Arhitecții noștri de la patterns&practices au scos un ghid, biblioteci și implementare de referință pentru dezvoltarea de aplicații de business folosind C#, XAML și Prism. De azi puteți asambla un serviciu de backend în cloud pentru aplicația voastră Android folosind Windows Azure Mobile Services (până acum suportam aplicații mobile pentru Windows Store, Windows Phone și iOS). Când spun „puteți asambla” mă refer la stocare de date structurate, autentificare (cu conturi de Google, Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft), notificări (folosind Google Cloud Messaging) și toate celelalte goodies care vin cu Mobile Services (scheduler, scale, logs). Practic îi spui serviciului ce vrei și îți asamblează el un proiect Java pe care îl poți decora apoi cu restul de funcționalități.
